Despite being inhabited before the 16th century, not much is known about Barbadian music prior to the arrival of the Portuguese in 1536 and then the English in 1627. The Portuguese did not have much of an influence on Barbadian music, unlike English culture and music that helped shape the island's musical heritage. Seeing Where You Live

I have been reading some of Street Art's blog and I have realised that I have been wondering around with my eyes closed, I travel to my grandmothers house in St Michael, close to the community college and I found this mural.  

It shows the temptations that young people experience and the choices they can make, both HIV and substance misuse are represented in this mural. It is a reminder that we all have choices and that our actions have consequences.
