My cultural background was a reflection of the Tao, my mothers teaching encouraged me to undertake practices and training that embraced the Tao, although she never spoke of it by name.

It is the practice of going against the stream not by struggling against it and thrashing about, but by standing still and letting the stream do the work; In essence working alongside the forces and energy around you.

]]> From a very personal perspective communication is beginning of truth, not in a biblical or philosophical sense, although they do indeed have their place, but in the cold-light-of-day truth that either is or is not. I find myself at times wondering why some people do not express their frustrations in a way that exposes their concerns to those who care for them. Allowing family, friends and love ones to fend for them, or at least to provide a place for discussion and or thought to take place.  

Often people tell me of how they find this to be too difficult, they feel as though the subject is either too contentious or they are in fear of upsetting the very person the care for, especially of their frustration is with them. The alternative being to allow these feelings to fester, causing inward pain and suffering or to wait until the
